Why?

Here at Calibre, we are focused on providing our customers with the equipment to help reduce waste in their food processing labs. Therefore, we feel as a business its important to “practice what we preach” and be as sustainable as possible in our offices. Our sustainability policy states:

“The company is committed to minimising its environmental impact, respecting its limits and also its resources whilst at the same time promoting sustainable development. The company recognises its impact on the local environment and that with continued effort it can contribute towards the conservation and protection of the environment. The company is working continuously to improve its environmental performance and minimise its waste and pollution.”

We are proud to do our bit to help reduce waste and be more eco-friendly as a business, wether this be in the office or on the road with our sales team - Every little change has a big impact!

How?

We are constantly looking for ways to adapt and improve our carbon footprint. As technology changes and advances, we hope to stay on top of our energy consumption by introducing new ways of working, no matter how small. Here are a few ways on how we try to help the environment at Calibre:

• All our on-road sales team have electric/hybrid vehicles

• Solar panels to regenerate electricity for the office

• Automatic/LED lighting ceiling lights throughout the building

• Dissolvable packing filler

• Recycled packaging tape

• Water dispensers & travel mugs

• Using local milk men for glass bottled milk instead of plastic.
