Charm AllerGiene ATP Swabs

$1.00

Charm AllerGiene ATP swabs test for adenosine triphosphate in allergenic food residues.

This swabbing method will indicate the presence of food on wet-cleaned surfaces or rinse water and is an

essential part of the cleaning process.

ATP swabbing prevents cross-contamination and controls allergens.

Why choose AllerGiene ATP Swabs?

  • AllerGiene ATP swabs are a highly-sensitive, convenient method to test surfaces for allergens

  • They are easy to use, versatile, and provide rapid results, detecting surface ATP in just 20 seconds

  • These swabs require no reagent preparation and can help you achieve an extremely thorough level of cleanliness

  • AllerGiene ATP swabs prevent cross-contamination and offer a cost-effective protection method when producing allergen-free foods

  • They are user-friendly, allowing any plant personnel to perform simple swab tests

  • This method will detect surface ATP common to multiple allergenic foods, including peanut butter, tree nuts, wheat, eggs, crustacean shellfish and soybeans

How do the swabs work?

The system the AllerGiene ATP swabs uses follows HACCP principles (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).

These principles include seven steps:

  • Conduct a hazard analysis

  • Identify the critical control points

  • Establish critical limits

  • Monitor the critical control points

  • Establish corrective actions

  • Establish record-keeping procedures

  • Establish verification procedures

AllerGiene ATP swabs work using the principle of bioluminescence.

Basically, they encourage a reaction to occur between the chemical within the swab and the adenosine triphosphate on the surface being tested.

The device includes a patented thread design, allowing the user to rotate the handle for full contact between the swab and the surface.

The swab contains a clear liquid with an agent for buffering and releasing, plus luciferin in stable tablet form, for applying a uniform dosage.

Luciferin is a light-emitting compound, which reacts with enzymes released by molecules.

The swab is then immediately inserted into an instrument chamber, which records the relative light units (RLU) of the swab.

These provide the parameters which determine the presence of specific allergens.

The benefits of AllerGiene ATP Swabs

Using the swabs, food manufacturers can verify the cleaning and removal of food residues from production lines that share processing.

By providing immediate results, AllerGiene ATP swabs enable operators to take any necessary action before the next production cycle begins.

This prevents cross contamination on equipment and surfaces.

Fast, accurate allergenic residue testing

Cross-contamination Allergen control in processing is a critical part of safe, compliant food production. AllerGiene ATP swabs offer a simple, three-stage means for testing and analysis:

  • Swab

  • Twist and shake

  • Count
